These are good words for my daily life. When the day gets a little crazy, I need to carry on and make it work! This reminds me to not let the “itty-bitty-committee” in my head get out of control. I need to stay focused and remember my tools and use them well.
I can go to my toolbox and find tools to help me “carry on.” Tools such as:
- How important is it?
- Keep it simple
- Do the next right thing
- First things first
- Easy does it
- Progress not perfection
I don’t need to throw myself into a panic. I don’t need to jump off the cliff (or off the wagon). I don’t need to run around in circles chasing my tail and biting my nails. I don’t need to have a tantrum, run away, or blame other people. I don’t need to start a drama or become a martyr. I just need to “carry on" and "make it work"!
