From Perez Hilton: Leah Messer is too confident to be trolled by body shamers!
On Tuesday, Leah took took to Refinery29 to defend a recent pic she shared of herself in a bikini. Unfortunately, the photo received A LOT of criticism due to Messer's thin frame and what some fans described as her "unhealthy" appearance --- some users even questioned whether or not she's struggling with drug addiction.

Now that the reality star has moved past her mental health issues, she decided to pen a thoughtful and positive message on the dangers of bullying women over their looks:
"First and foremost, there is much more to women than our bodies. Yet many women seem to continually judge others, not by their character, but by their bodies. There are many more important issues going on in the world today than whether or not I had enough to eat for breakfast. (Side note: I had plenty.)"
Well, we can't argue with L.M. on the point of "more important issues". With one of the most critical elections EVER coming up and in light of the racial issues plaguing America, there's a lot more to worry about right now!
The momma went on to add:
"We should be focused on spreading love and kindness instead of mean-spirited bullying. Thankfully I am in a beautiful place in my life raising three wonderful, kind, loving and confident little girls. The last thing I would want for them is to feel that they, too, could be ridiculed for their bodies. So let's stop with the shaming, start supporting one another, and focus on what really matters."
Well said! It's also important to note that Leah has always had a tiny frame -- it's not really fair to criticize the body someone was born with.
So, what do YOU think of the West Virginia native's comments?
