Reach Out Recovery is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to Addiction Education, Prevention, and Recovery founded in March 2011

ROR was founded to fill the need of 120 million adults and children, extended families, employers, co-workers, and friends whose lives have been changed forever by addiction. Reach Out Recovery is the only nonprofit media organization to create a platform for reliable behavior and process addiction information, daily news relevant to recovery issues, and help and support to find solutions and support. 

Reach Out Recovery was founded by Leslie Glass and her daughter Lindsey Glass who saw a need for a media nonprofit with a priority of addiction prevention, recovery, and healthy living. Like 120 million Americans, the Glasses were impacted addiction, teen addiction in their case. After traveling the recovery journey, they created a website to help others cope. Reach Out Recovery is the only unbiased, non profit recovery platform that combines researchable information about substances and addictions, news articles, the latest research, healthy living and relationship tips, and dozens of original bloggers..

Leslie Glass

Leslie Glass is the founder of Reach Out Recovery, a journalist, director/producer of award-winning documentaries, and is author of 15 bestselling novels. Leslie has served as Chairman of the Board of Plays For Living, was a member of the Board of Directors of Mystery Writers of America. She has served as a Public Member of the Middle States Commission of Higher Education, as a VP of The Asolo Theatre, and was a Trustee of the New York City Police Foundation. 
David Denicoff
// Vice President | Treasurer
Trained in engineering and computers at Penn State, David focused his career on finance and investing. He worked in California where he developed and implemented tax programs for individuals and corporations. His company also provided institutional investing and investment strategies for qualified retirement plans. David has created for profit companies designed to provide mission-based and other income for nonprofit organizations.
Cheryl L. Gordon, Esq.
// Secretary
Cheryl L. Gordon focuses her practice on business and transactional tax law, and advises a wide variety of corporations and individuals on tax and legal aspects of their business activities and estate plans. Cheryl is also a certified public accountant, and has represented and advised numerous individuals and companies in the formation, acquisition and/or sale of business ventures, the planning and implementation of qualified plans and all aspects of the day-to-day operations.

Pam Carver

Pam has a B.S. in Business Management. She has several years of teaching computer classes and wore many hats in the cooperate world. She has dog who she loves to call her Therapy Beagle. Working as a writer for the Recovery Daily section of our site, Pam provides a unique perspective on the world of recovery and how she sees it through her eyes!
Gila Meriwether

Gila is a strategic planner and brand developer. She has a wide range of experience from being the business manager of a mid-size hospital to the case manager in evaluating retired NFL players for the concussion injuries rating. She has worked with national and international companies in the area of board reorganization, re-branding, and public awareness. Gila also brings extensive volunteer experience with local and global non-profit organizations.

Elizabeth Vist

Elizabeth is a certified Educational Specialist and Success Coach. She has a BA, MS in biology with a concentration in ethology (animal behavior), is an EAGALA Equine Specialist in equine assisted learning and personal development, and has extensive personal leadership skills. She spent much of her career in education at the high school, college and correctional facility levels teaching biology & chemistry and acting in the capacity of a success coach. Elizabeth presents workshops and seminars which address communication issues as they manifest in personal relationships. She uses writing as both a creative and cathartic outlet, especially after losing both of her parents to cancer in 2015. She lives in upstate NY, on a farm that bears the name of her motto: Be Unreasonable! She's invested in empowering others in moving their pieces forward in the world.

"Carol Anderson, D.Min., ACSW, LMSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience in the fields of mental health, addictions, and co-occurring disorders. Her other specialties include grief and trauma, women’s issues, chronic pain management, holistic healing, GLBTQ concerns, and spirituality and transpersonal psychology. Dr. Anderson has been educated and trained in the fields of education, social work, and spirituality, and she holds a Doctor of Ministry degree (non-denominational/interfaith) specializing in spirituality.
